As an accounting firm serving over-the-road truck drivers, Abacus! has the privilege of working with drivers throughout the year. We see more than the miles you drive. We see the long hours, time away from family, changing schedules, rising costs, tight deadlines, and responsibility that come with life on the road.
What you do requires sacrifice. You may be hundreds or even thousands of miles away from your home. You work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays to make sure freight gets where it needs to go. That commitment often means missing important moments at home so that you can provide for your family and serve the businesses and communities that depend on you.
Your work also touches nearly every part of our daily lives. The food on grocery store shelves, supplies used by businesses, building materials, medical products, clothing, and countless other necessities all depend on professional drivers to get them where they need to be.
We also recognize that being an independent contractor means you aren’t just driving a truck, you are running a business. You have to manage fuel costs, repairs, insurance, taxes, cash flow, and countless other responsibilities while still finding a way to keep the wheels turning.
